When I took my Audio Engineering program a few years back we spent a substantial amount of time on digital recording. One part dealt with the shape of the wave form and how, because it was basically created by taking a sample numerous times a second. Instead of being a smooth rounded shape it would look like a stair step between each sample. It made sense to me at the time, and then I came across this video that disproves that. From an audio and tech geek perspective, this is absolutely a must watch video because it touches on numerous subjects that really give you insight on the digital recording process (and in my opinion why it is so superior to analogue, I know contentious topic we can discuss further at a later time).
